Best Friends Pet Care at Disney World

Pamper Your Pup or Coddle Your Kitty at This Luxury Resort for Pets

Best Friends Pet Care opened its new, luxury pet resort at Walt Disney World last month to much tail wagging and rave reviews. Its four-legged guests gave the unique pet resort an enthusiastic "two paws up" whereas owners were thrilled to have such a great place to leave their pets during their amusement park vacation.

The newest Best Friends Pet Care luxury resort offers more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space just for pets. This includes opulent air-conditioned suites, a state-of-the-art grooming salon, covered outdoor runs and play areas, and a 25,000-square-foot dog park exclusively for Best Friends clients and their pets.

According to Dennis Dolan, CEO of Best Friends Pet Care, this special facility incorporates the best concepts from other Best Friends facilities with some creative extras that are sure to delight Walt Disney World visitors. Disney execs agree. "Where else can vacationing dogs have their own water play park or bedtime stories? How many cats on holiday get to enjoy room-service treats like Tuna on a Ritz?" said Phil Bernard, Vice President of Operating Participants for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.

Accommodations

The Best Friends Pet Care resort at Walt Disney World can accommodate as many as 300 pets for both daytime and overnight boarding. Dog owners can choose from standard indoor suites, indoor-outdoor suites, expansive vacation "villas" and lavish VIP (Very Important Pet) suites with a television, raised bedding and private outdoor yard. Feline guests can relax in spacious condos in a separate "Kitty City" area which is located away from the dogs. This Best Friends pet resort even offers boarding for pocket pets, small mammals and birds!

Activities and Amenities

Pet owners wishing to pamper their pooch or coddle their kitty can choose from a long list of a la carte activities and special amenities. Dogs can enjoy solo games and outdoor romps with a Best Friends Pet Care staff member or interactive play with a friendly group of carefully selected doggy pals. Dogs can also be indulged with cuddle-time (which includes belly rubs and back scratches), bedtime stories, bottled water, soy ice cream sundaes with dog-cookie topping, and ultra-comfy orthopedic mattresses. Feline guests can be coddled with supervised playtime in their private suite, activity toys, plush kitty pillows and tasty treats like albacore tuna on a crunchy Ritz cracker.

The Best Friends private dog park includes a "canine only" water play area, a walking trail overlooking natural wetlands, and several areas of varying terrain where doggy guests can run and play. The entire dog park is secure from outsiders and is available for after-dark use.

Best Friends Doggy Day Camp

In today's work-centered world, many pet owners must leave their canine buddy home alone all day. A bored, lonely and unhappy dog will often engage in naughty behavior just to spice up his day. The Best Friends Doggy Day Camp at Walt Disney World provides a safe, fun and affordable solution. Residents of the local community can drop Fido off in the morning so he can burn off energy with rambunctious play, then chill out with his doggy pals until it's time to go home. This dog day care facility features two extra-large camp rooms with attached outside yards.

Amazing! I think the pets who go to these facilities have a better vacation for the money than most humans!
