Best Ganesha Coloring Pages Guide

Reena Das
Fall beckons the season of festivities in India along with cool, crisp air. With Diwali around the corner, soon it will be the season of smiles, shopping, decorations, treats, family and friends. While you're busy preparing Diwali treats, I compiled this guide to the best Ganesha coloring pages on the web to keep your little ones happy. I've always thought coloring pages a happy medium to impart any knowledge into the curious, little minds.

Ganesha, the elephant countenance deity has become synonymous with Hinduism. The signature big ears, curved trunk and huge belly are actually symbolic of much larger things in life. The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha is all about governing life force. That's the reason Hindus commence any auspicious occasion by offering obeisance to Lord Ganesha. "Aum Ganeshaya Namah" which means "In what we are about to do, let wisdom be our guide".

Lord of success and destroyer of evils; the much loved Ganesha is worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth during Diwali.

Ganesha is perhaps the only Hindu deity that has seen various changes to his iconic style through the years. Originally red; the modern Ganesha can be colored in any vivid hue.
