Ghostbuster Float
2 ounces Baileys Irish cream
2 ounces Kahlua coffee liqueur
1.5 ounces vodka
milk or half and half
seltzer or club soda
vanilla ice cream
ice cubes
Add one or two ice cubes to a cocktail shaker. Then pour in the Baileys, the Kahlua and the vodka and shake well. Fill a tumbler or any tall cocktail glass (a hurricane glass would work good) about half way with ice cubes and strain the drink into the glass. Fill to about two inches from the top with seltzer water to add some fizz. Then fill to about one inch from the top with milk or half and half (half and half makes it much more rich and creamy). Do not stir. Just let the milk or half and half work its way down. Then add a very small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top (coffee ice cream would be good too but vanilla looks more ghosty). Add a tall straw and a long dessert spoon and serve!

Blue Ghost Shaker of Shots
This recipe makes a shaker full of shots that you can serve to party guests. It should make about 7 shots in all.
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce Captain Morgan spiced rum
1 ounce coconut rum
1 ounce triple sec
1 ounce banana liqueur
1 ounce white creme de cacao
1 ounce Blue Curacao liqueur
4 ounces cream or half and half
ice cubes or cracked ice
Fill a cocktail shaker about half full of ice. Then pour in all the ingredients and shake well. Then divide into shot glasses and serve. For a very rich shot, use cream. For less rich, use half and half. You could also use whole milk for even less richness.

Blackbeard's Ghost
This ghost cocktail is tropical and tangy and the molasses adds a bit of an unusual kick!
1 ounce coconut rum
1 ounce dark rum
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce grapefruit juice
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce mango syrup
1/4 ounce molasses
maraschino cherry
ice cubes or cracked ice
Add a bit of ice to a cocktail shaker. Pour in all the ingredients except for the molasses. If you can't find mango syrup, you can skip it and just add a bit more orange juice. Shake the concoction well then pour into a highball glass over ice. Drizzle the molasses over the top and do not stir. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve.

Halloween is a great time to kick back and get into the spirit of things, but remember, even the living dead should not drink and drive! If you are hosting a party, keep your guests safe by taking their keys.
