**Best Gin Cocktails for a 4th of July Party Celebration

Recalcitrantem
For parties on the 4th of July, here are some American-themed drink recipes containing gin. Recipes are all from webtender.com. General Lee was a southern Civil War general, and also the name of the car on the TV show Dukes of Hazzard. Will Rogers was an American cowboy and actor. Florida is, of course, a state! So, all of these drinks have a place at your Independence Day party. People will be impressed that you went through the effort of getting drinks that fit the theme, too.

General Lee

2 oz Gin
2 oz Club soda
1/4 tsp Anisette
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 oz Lime juice
Fill with Ginger ale
Mixing instructions:

Will Rogers
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 dash Triple sec
1 tblsp Orange juice
Mixing instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Florida
Ingredients:
1/2 oz Gin
1 1/2 tsp Kirschwasser
1 1/2 tsp Triple sec
1 oz Orange juice
1 tsp Lemon juice
Mixing instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

For thematic serving ideas, try red and blue glasses, red white and blue umbrellas, food coloring (where appropriate) and maybe mini flag stirrers. You can get 4th of July party favors and decorations at any store right now. Trays for glasses can be themed as well. Plastic cocktail glasses aren't hard to come by, and can be painted as well. If you want to be more formal on a budget, check thrift stores for glassware, and you may luck out. For a fun game, attach numbers to the bottoms of the glasses and play some variation of Bingo with your guests.
