To avoid any disappointment call ahead before heading out for the day. Some of the golf courses in the area are private and for members only. Others full up quickly as the tourist population in Saratoga Springs swells during track season (roughly from mid-July until Labor Day). Here are my favorite non-member golf courses in the Saratoga Springs area.
Saratoga Lake Golf Club
35 Grace Moore Road

The weekend, Friday through Sunday, is a fair $32. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are even more reasonable at $26. Tuesday, which is known as 'dark day" at the Saratoga Race Course, it only cost $1 a hole and $14 for a cart rental. Take a moment to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you while you are out on the fairway. Located within ten minutes from down town Saratoga, yet it feels like you are dropped in the middle of the Adirondacks. This is truly a golf course to unwind from the stress of your day on.
Saratoga Spa Golf Course

New York State residents can expect to pay $35 on weekdays and $42 for the weekends. Non-residents will have to pay $47 for weekdays and $57 on the weekends. A golf cart rental is $20; 2 or more people will cost $30. Besides offering a challenging 18-hole course, Saratoga Spa Golf Course also has a driving range. Take a few practice shots on the practice putting green or stop at the full service pro shop before starting your game.
Saratoga National Golf Club

A day of golf at the Saratoga National Golf Club will cost you $185. Monday through Wednesday nights they offer twilight golf at the cost of $125. Cart rental for both day and night golfing is included in the price. Saratoga National Golf Club is consistently ranked one of the best public golf courses in the nation. This particular golf course offers flexibility to its patrons. There are no restrictions on the number of people in your party or the time you choose to play.
Tee Bird South Golf Club
65 Reynolds Road (Moreau)

Both residents of the state and tourists can expect to pay a flat rate of $35 on weekends and $30 for the week days. These prices reflex a cart rental. Here you will enjoy the well maintained lawn. When you are done for the day enjoy a drink at the casual bar and grill right on the premise.
