Best Halloween Coloring Pages and Printables for Kids

Sandra Bacon
Children really enjoy Halloween, and you can let them prepare for the excitement dressing up and decorating by giving the some Halloween coloring pages and printables for kids.

Everyone likes to color, so go to the sites that have been provided and printout a few Halloween printables from each, then make a book out of them and give one to each child to color. You can even make a contest out of it and present a small prize for the best Halloween coloring pages.

When everyone has finished with their pages, why not hang the best on your refrigerator and save the place of honor, in the center, for the prize winner. I think this is not only a lovely way to lead into Halloween, but it's a good way to keep your children entertained, and these Halloween printables are all free.

So take advantage of their offers and check out each site and see what they have to offer. A lot of the drawings come on a PDF file, so make sure you have Adobe before trying to download them. If you don't have it, you can download a free copy from www.adobe.com

All you do is click on the drawing you want, then click again to enlarge it, and it comes out on a page that has no advertisements. This is the page you print. I printed out one page to see how it would look, and the drawing is more to the bottom and left of the page, but the quality is excellent.

This site doesn't offer many Halloween coloring pages, but the ones they do offer are excellent quality that print centered on your page. It looks just like a page from a coloring book. Two of their pages, Witch and Friends and Conjuring a Spell, are trimmed in orange and black, and I think this is a nice touch. The trimming makes a beautiful frame so you can hang them on your refrigerator. When you click on the drawing title, you will get a page with your selection, but you will need to click on the drawing to open up a PDF file that you can print from.

You may want to check this site out and see how you like the drawings that print out. When I printed out the ghost drawing, it came out very nice, but was surrounded by advertisements on the top and left of the drawing. So even though the drawing is large on the computer screen, when it prints out, the drawing is only medium size, but still large enough to color. The drawings are very nice, and they do print out with clarity, and if you don't mind the advertisements, this is another site you should check out.
