Halloween isn't just for kids. Though most adults do not trick-or-treat anymore we can still dress up and enjoy the fun and spirit of the holiday. I love Halloween and it is probably my favorite holiday. I will share with you my top 5 Halloween costumes for adults for 2009. Both men and women can be vampires this Halloween. Vampire Halloween costumes are classic, but they are especially popular this year with the Twilight craze. Vampire Halloween costumes are easy to create, inexpensive and you can really add your own personal touches. First you will need a cape. Traditionally, vampire costume capes are black and red and made of a silky material. You can surely use these colors for your cape, but you can also switch it up. Men can use a blue/black or blue/green color combination and women can use a pink/black or purple/black color combination to add a unique touch. Vampire capes can either be homemade with simple sewing or they can be purchased. All Halloween stores and most common stores such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target will sell these vampire capes. You can also check your city's local thrift stores for an even better deal. In general, you can find one for $25.00 or less. Ladies can wear a black dress and men can wear a black suit. Women can apply seductive make-up and men can apply some eyeliner to their lower eyes and some white face make-up. Fangs are optional.
