When we love our four-legged friends, we want to include them in our Halloween fun and what could be more fun than dressing your dog in a costume and you dressing in a coordinating costume? In this article I have listed five of the top Halloween costumes available online for your dog (with coordinating ideas for you) so that both you and your pet will have a howling good time this Halloween!

There is a hole in the neck of the costume for the leash and elastic leg straps to hold the back in place. This costume comes in five sizes: X-small; small; medium; large and X-large. To help you choose the correct size costume for your dog, the Costume Craze website has a sizing guide and tells you exactly where and how to measure for the best fit. If you dress your dog in the land shark Halloween costume, perhaps you could dress as a shark also. There is a selection of shark Halloween costumes for people here.

Best Halloween Costumes for Dogs #2: Caribbean Pirate Pet Costume at HalloweenStreet.com starting at 21.99

Best Halloween Costumes for Dogs #5: Cowboy with Horse and Spooky Sidekick Costume at petco.com for $19.99

When we were growing up, at some point someone always suggested playing cowboys and for some of us, that's where we learned to love horses. So now we have dogs instead of horses because horses cost so much to maintain but that doesn't mean we can't show our love for horses in different ways. Petco.com sells a fun cowboy with horse and sidekick Halloween costume for dogs. The "horse" part of the costume has fabric hook-and-loop fasteners for adjusting to your dog's size for a snug fit. It has brown patches (spots) to look like a pinto horse (sort of) and a small felt tail attached at the rear of the costume. The hood is brown and mimics a horses head and neck with mane and attaches to your dog's head. On the horses "back" is a small "cowboy" rider. This costume is available in only one size, a medium so it is for the smaller dog breeds.

So that you'll be ready to ride the range with your cowboy horse dog, why not saddle up in your own Halloween horse costume? There is a fun Horse'n Around Cowboy adult size horse costume available at Amazon.com for $38.99here.

Now all that's left to do is choose just one Halloween costume for your dog and yourself and get them ordered. Perhaps that might not be so easy with all the cute pet costumes available but hopefully this guide has given you ideas to find that one perfect costume for your dog so you'll both be ready for Halloween this year. Who knows, there might even be a blue ribbon in your future!
