Best Halloween TV Shows, Series and Picks for Fall 2011

Halloween is coming soon and fall is already here. It is time for goblins, candy and fear. If you like scary television shows, this fall season promises not to disappoint. Here are my picks for best Halloween TV in 2011. Let the screams begin!

I must start this off by awarding my favorite scary shows prize to AMC. This channel never fails to provide chills and thrills during the Halloween season. AMC's Fear Fest begins on October 16 ^th and continues through Halloween. Look for scary movies galore and many of your all time favorites, if you are a horror movie fan. Also, if you are a fan of the series the Walking Dead, it comes back for more on October 16 ^th , 2011, to kick off the horror tales. 9 p.m. and don't miss it. This series deals with a rampage of zombies, set in and around the southern town of Atlanta, Georgia. I love this creative series and it is one of the best, if not the only, zombie series on television. Great plots and scares abound.

FX is another favorite channel of mine for Halloween television chills. The American Horror Story series staring Jessica Lange premieres on October 5 ^th , 2011 at 10 p.m. This drama thriller series promises thrills and true horror. Keep in mind, it is intended for mature audiences.

Syfy starts Halloween off right, on October 1 ^st , 2011 with their 31 days of Halloween. Don't miss an evening of the horrific fun. From scary movies to chilling series like Paranormal Witness, this channel knows how to scare. They are the masters. Don't miss the nightly fun!

And last, but certainly not least, don't forget about the ABC Family channel. They are having a Halloween platter of television scary favorites. All kid friendly and just right for family creepiness. Pop the popcorn, order the pizzas and stay in for great classic Halloween movies shown nightly, not to mention fantastic Halloween specials. All during the Halloween season.
