Best Hamburgers in Seattle, Washington

Corey Roberts
There's something about biting into a delicious, juicy hamburger that can put a smile on anyone's face. Everyone is always trying to seek the best hamburger in Seattle, Washington and opinions will always vary on the best tasting hamburgers in Seattle. However, if you ask any Seattlite about where to go for "local hamburgers", they will probably suggest the following two places. Cost is a very important factor when determining the deliciousness of a hamburger, as cheap eats make the hamburger taste even better. There are two hamburger places that stand out when determining the best (and most reasonable) hamburgers in Seattle.

Dick's Drive-In

Dick's Drive-In has constantly been voted as one of the best hamburgers in Seattle. The hamburgers are made fast, yet the quality does not suffer from the quick service. You will see a flurry of people that gather at one of these hamburger stands on any given Friday or Saturday night. The reason why this joint is so popular is because it's open late, and the burgers are extremely cheap. A Dick's Deluxe cost $2.40 and change and a small fry costs a little over $1.40. The Dick's deluxe has two all-beef patties, American cheese, lettuce and a "special sauce". Potatoes are cut daily for the French fries and are greasy and delicious. A whole meal costs under $5 - and nothing is more satisfying than a delicious, yet cheap burger. Dick's Drive-In can be located in Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Wallingford, Holman, and in Lake City.

Red Mill

Fresh ingredients and high-quality restaurant style burgers is what sets Red Mill above the rest. Red Mill creates flame broiled 100% all-beef patties in their burgers. These burgers are massive and can be eaten as two meals. Red Mill burgers cost anywhere from $7-$10, but are still cheaper than many other local hamburger places. Once you try the Bacon Deluxe/Cheese, you will understand why Red Mill is rated as one of the best hamburger joints in Seattle, Washington. Red Mill is located in Phinney Ridge and Interbay. The Phinney Ridge location is very quaint so expect to wait for a table, or eat your burger outside.

I agree...we could agree until we're blue in the face about which place has the best hamburgers in Seattle. Burgermaster, Kidd Valley, Earthquake Burger, Lunchbox Laboratory, The Counter - are all GREAT burgers. Kidd Valley and Burger Master are "eh" in my opinion...to each their own. If a tourist were to come to Seattle, I would definitely suggest them to go to Dick's or Red Mill, not JUST for the burger, but for the overall "Seattle" experience.

Two places? You can only come up with TWO places?! What about Burgermaster? Earthquake Burgers? Kidd Valley? Some local you are. Seattle has more than two places, not even counting the yuppie gourmet burgers. Sheesh
