Many a responsible dog owner wants to know the best healthy activities for his dog. Some dog owners do not give the dog what he needs consistently enough for him to stay healthy. Dog owners need to learn some of the best healthy activities for a dog, not just for a day, but for all of the canines' life.

One of the best healthy activities for a dog is walking him every day no matter what the weather is. In the neighborhood, in town, in and out and all around, just walk. Besides, it's fun!

In addition, keeping a dog active, giving him the best healthy activities calls for giving pooch much needed attention. Playing is important to any dog's health, making time for the big puppy within.

A keen idea is using plastic ice cream pail lids like a Frisbee. The lids are fast, lightweight, and dogs love to fetch them. Any exercise is superb for dogs, especially swimming or running. Ball playing is usually a favorite of most canines.

Dogs need lots of fresh air, water and earth. It's simple really to put into a priority of each new day.

Air = Outdoor air, the higher the altitude, the fresher it is.

Water = fresh, clean water from a trusted source. Drink all that is possible in a day with a minimum of 3 gallons for each dog.

Earth = digging in dirt, rolling in snow, running the fields of grass and gardens, frolicking with the wind and in leaves during the fall.

Sunshine = warmth of the sun...going to the beach, enjoying a park...just puppy and his master.

Music soothes the savage beast. Dogs love relaxation music, especially dogs with tremendous energy. Letting a dog have his own music is a caring gesture that he will love. Some dog owners dance with their dogs. Music is included as one of the best healthy activities because this is when the dog and dog owner both are slowed down, but still active.
