We all have many friends and relatives and acquaintances who love listening to music. They want it with them everywhere. They walk around with heavy disk players, or snazzy iPods. You can always hear a beat or a quite melody emanating from their cubicle, or from their desk. They can't stop drumming against the table at dinner, and can't stop thinking of the next iPod version. They're always the first ones in the store at the release of a new album, and you can see them looking longingly at the next big music player in front of the window with drool slowly leaving the mouth cavity to take it's place on the sidewalk...okay, maybe not. The point is - they like music, and they want more. So what can you do to get them this holiday?

You can get them Microsoft Zune - Zune is the name of the brand, the device, the new media format, the latest offering by Microsoft, the software that runs the device, and the latest fad in the music forums. Set to snatch away a significant portion of Apple's iPod market, Zune is something that many music and gadget lovers will be looking to get soon here. Sporting bluetooth, WiFi connectivity and a sharing network, there is no way that Zune can be stopped from claiming a large chunk of the music devices market. Not only that, Zune is also capable of playing other media such as movies, and can also stream music directly off of the net. Definitely in the top 3 gifts to think about this holiday.

A guitar/Piano with the best teaching software and guides - Nothing like getting the creativity of your friends all fired up with this wonderful gift. Finally, your friends can stop playing the air guitar and actually indulge in some nifty jamming sessions. Obviously, it's pointless to get them a guitar without a good teaching guide if they don't know who to play. That's be like getting someone a car without the engine. The best one that I know of is available here.
If they're more into classical music, or jazz, or into piano playing in general, then here's a really good guide for you to consider. Getting someone a piano is definitely not expected given the cost and size of the thing. However, it will be a really good option to get them a beginners keyboard and a good lesson and guide plan. Remember to think twice before getting something of this sort for someone. There are many people who like music, but don't like practicing or making music. This is not for someone who doesn't have the patience or the desire to play music. The best piano lessons and guide I know of is available here.

And iPod with a download site. Okay, the problem with giving some an iPod is two fold:
It costs money to get the iPod, and it costs a lot to get the songs and movies. As such, an iPod might not be the best gift over the holidays. However, if you can fix both the problems then this is a worthy gift. Here's a site that you can use to download unlimited songs and movies for the iPod. Ipod + Unlimited Music = :)
iPods are one of the most popular devices right now. A good idea would be get the iPod nano 3 GB, instead of a full-blown iPod 80GB media player. Not only will you save on costs for yourself, you'll also save a bit for your friend, since they won't have to start buying more media and content to make use of their gift.
