- Yoga Bag
These special bags are perfect for carrying everything to yoga class. Hugger Mugger makes a bag in an array of colors that will carry a yoga mat, water bottle, strap, and blocks. There is also a section for keys, Chap Stick, cash, drivers' license and anything else that is small. These bags also have a strap to sling everything over the shoulder and head out the door. The internet has a wide variety of bags if you just run "yoga bag" in a search engine. Prices range from $10.00 to $140.00 for very high end bags. Unless the bags can roll out the mat and help you with your poses, the $10.00 one is just as good!
- Yoga Journal Subscription
Give the gift that gives all year long. Yoga Journal is delivered right to your yoga enthusiast's mailbox and contains great features articles, events, profiles, pose help and product information just to name a few things. If Yoga Journal is not the right magazine, there are plenty others out there dedicated to the practice of yoga.
- Gift Certificate For Private Yoga Class
One of the wonderful things about yoga is that there is so much to learn that anyone can take classes for years and years without knowing everything there is to know or master every pose. Yoga is something to be engaged in for a lifetime for increased benefits. For real dedicated fanatics having a private class with a yoga instructor can be in invaluable tool to learning and mastering certain poses. If your yoga fan enjoys group lessons, you can also purchase those from most studios.
- Eye Pillow
Eye pillows are used for the most part in the final relaxation stage of yoga. Often filled with special scents and herbs, these little magical pillows help keep the light and distractions out while in final pose. These can be purchased online or at a yoga studio if they have a boutique with items to sell. Eye pillows are fairly inexpensive, come in a wide variety of colors and fabric patterns, and make a great stocking stuffer. These are sure to take the holiday stress right out of your yogi's life.
- Yoga Clothing
Clothes for yoga are much like gym/workout clothes. They need to be lose and non restrictive while not being baggy. There are many companies that make clothing for the practice of yoga. Clothing includes tops, sports bras for support, pants and even footwear. Usually yoga is practiced while barefoot. A good pair of sandals that slide on and off easily will be time saving when entering a yoga studio. These should be sturdy enough for support on the way to and from yoga (such as while driving). These items can be found in many casual clothing stores and on the internet. The cost of this gift depends on whether you purchase just one piece of clothing or an entire outfit.
- Gift Certificate For A Pedicure
Because we practice yoga in bare feet, a pedicure is the perfect way to pamper your yogi before they go to class. This gift can be fairly inexpensive and is sure to be a welcomed gift.
Another great idea along the same lines is a home pedicure kit. This can be homemade specifically for your yoga fan in mind. Start with a great foot bath/massager and then fill it with great goodies such as foot jell, powder, lotion, a pedicure set with tools such as nail clippers and nail files. Different colors of nail polish are also great for stocking stuffers!
- Toe Rings
What better way to accent that pedicure than a toe ring? These are usually adjustable in size and come in many patterns, colors, width and even stones. Relatively inexpensive these fit perfectly in a stocking or a small gift box. These can be purchased at any jewelry boutique in the mall or online. Just simply enter "toe rings" in your favorite search engine to find them online or visit the local mall.
- Relaxation CD's
Perfect for practicing yoga or just relaxing in bed, there are many CD's available which yogi's find useful and enjoyable. These CD's are the same price as popular music CD's and are great not just while practicing yoga, but for around the house or in the car. Again, use your search engine to find these CD's or look for them at your local yoga studio boutique.
- Yoga Rug
Yoga rugs are a very versatile piece of yoga equipment. Rugs can be used to help hold poses and absorb perspiration. Other great uses include cushioning the body in final relaxation or covering the body while cooling off. No matter what your yoga enthusiast uses it for this is a great gift!
Other items that will come up in a search will include jewelry, posters, instructional DVD's and of course yoga mats. For the beginner who uses the mats provided at the studio where they practice this still makes a great gift. Make sure that you check before you give an advanced yogi their 101st yoga mat though. Use these gift ideas to give them something unique and new.
