If you are a gym junkie and select hotels based on fitness amenities you have to stay at Baltimore's Inner Harbor Hilton Garden Inn.

They advertise that guests will "enjoy the comfort of elegantly appointed rooms featuring all the touches of home plus the latest in technology".

Rates are reasonable and the guest rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn have desired amenities like an iron and ironing board, microwave, mini fridge, 32" Flat Screen LCD TV, MP3 ready alarm clock and WiFi Internet access as well as Ethernet connections in every room.

Hilton Garden Inn at Baltimore's Inner Harbor is located in the newer area called Harbor East at 625 South President Street in Baltimore, Maryland near downtown Baltimore.

The entire building in non-smoking.

The real treat offered by this Hilton Garden Inn is for the traveler who always looking for the next workout.
Instead of a hotel fitness center guests of this Hilton get full access to the Maryland Athletic Club!

Jogging and Walking
Proximity to jogging routes and being in walking distance of everything from the Baltimore Convention Center to sporting venues like Orioles Park at Camden Yards and the Ravens M&T Stadium is ideal for guests who like to get active.

The MAC Experience
The real jewel amenity at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Hilton Garden Inn is their deal with the Maryland Athletic Club that is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel building. Guests of this hotel have full access to the MAC facilities which offers pretty much everything.

Maryland Athletic Club Baltimore Harbor East location has 3 pools, 6 exercise studios, squash, kinesis, 10,000 square feet of cardio equipment, LifeFitness circuit, and a large free weight area not to mention group spinning and yoga and much more.

Swimming Pools
In addition to three salt-pure swimming pools, MAC has a large whirlpool. One of the three pools is a dedicated lap pool. The other two are warm water wellness pools perfect to water aerobics, water walking, floating or stretching. Only one of the pools is available to guests under 16 years old.

Guest Access
Hilton Garden Inn guests are welcome at MAC during their stay at Baltimore Harbor and access the facility by taking the hotel elevator to the 2nd floor and following the signs. Guest are asked to sign in at the Maryland Athletic Club desk with hotel key card and photo ID where their visit is logged in a register.

Athletic Club Amenities
There is no need to bring a towel or walk through the hotel in sweaty workout clothes because MAC is a full service athletic facility that has everything you will need including towels, showers, ironing boards and hair dryers in the locker room.

Bring a lock with you to secure your things during your workout but just about everything else is provided including those handy spinners for your bathing suite so that you don't have to carry wet swim wear around in your gym bag.

Healthy Eating During Your Stay
The hotel restaurant serves a great breakfast that includes several healthy choices including fresh oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and cooked to order eggs. The rooms are equipped with microwave and small refrigerator and there is a concierge shop in the front lobby that sells fresh fruit, water and gum. Herbal tea is available from the restaurant.

Homewood Suites
Travelers who would like to enjoy the great opportunity to use this can't miss, so much better than a hotel gym experience but who hate eating out all the time might consider staying at the Hilton Homewood Suites East Harbor which is located in the same building as the Hilton Garden Inn and the MAC.

Guests at the Homewood Suites also have access to the MAC experience with the extended stay convenience of a two burner stove!

The Hilton Garden Inn does not accept pets but Homewood Suites is pet friendly.
