It's been said you go to Banjara for the Dumpakht and you stay for the fried Poori. In fact, don't even go to Banjara if you're not ordering the Chicken or Lamb Dumpakht. It's all the rave, and why so many people go back again and again.
About Dumpakht from Banjar menu: "Dumpakhi Is a Method of Cooking by Which The Cooking Vessel Is Sealed with Pastry Resulting In a Deliciously Moist, Flavorful Dish."
Dumpakht is a buttery curry with either chicken or lamb, both very good, and sealed inside of a pastry. After poking open the pastry you may want to take all of it off if you don't want it to get too soggy, but it's not necessary.
Both the Jinga Poori and the Poori Bhaji are great starters you could eat over and over instead of moving to a main dish.
