L'Oreal EverPure
This shampoo and condition run for about $6.99 each and can be found at just about any drugstore. L'Oreal has been making inexpensive and well formulated hair care for years and this is the newest formulation from their line.
EverPure is 100% Sulfate-Free. Sulfate is a harsh chemical that is found in quite a few shampoos and conditioners. In addition, it has been known to strip color. EverPure is also 100% Vegan which is a nice thought for many.
John Freida "Brilliant Brunette" or "Brilliant Blond"
As a brunette, I have tried John Freida's Brilliant Brunette Light Reflecting Shampoo and Conditioner. When I first tried it I was a bit alarmed that it contained color. While I do not want my color to fade, I also like the way my hairdresser colors it and did not want anything to interfere with that color. The reason for my concern is the shampoo and conditioner come out of the bottle with a brunette tone to them. My concerns were unfounded however. This is a non color depositing shampoo and conditioner.
Besides the fact that using this shampoo and conditioner does truly help to maintain your existing salon fresh look, it has added benefits. It smells incredible and does in fact give your hair an amazing shine and all like EverPure for approximately $6.99 each.
Garnier Fructis Color Shield
Garnier products always smell delicious but that does not necessarily make them the best. However this product does what it says. It helps maintain your hair color until your next salon appointment. It is my least favorite of the three mentioned but definitely a great product nonetheless.
Coming it at under $4.00 per bottle it is also the most inexpensive. Like the others it can be found at any drugstore. Perhaps its only downside compared to the other two is that my hair shines less when using this product.
Whatever your choice any of these products will help maintain your color while giving you beautifully clean hair. Of course there are many salon brands that are excellent choices but also come with a hefty price tag. For those of you looking for great hair at a lower cost check out these products.
