Best Inexpensive Digital Christmas Gifts

There are so many fun digital Christmas gifts you can give this holiday season, from digital keychains and picture frames, to photo books and DVDs. The best part? There's something priced right for just about any budget.

Your own collection of digital photos is a great place to start your search for the perfect digital Christmas gift. If you'd like to give something a little more original than your mug on a mug, photo books are the way to go. Mini photo books are budget-friendly gifts, starting at just $6.99 on Kodak Gallery, and you can choose from a variety of covers, colors, and designs. They make great Christmas gifts for teachers (please, no more apple chachkis!), friends of teens and tweens, cousins, godparents, and grandparents. Get your kids involved by having them take digital pictures and help you design the books.

Shutterfly has some of the best design options when it comes to photo books, and one of my favorites is a photo yearbook dedicated to The Year in Review. An 8x8 hardcover photo book starts at $34.99 for 20 pages, but you can buy multiple copies of the same book for about $26, making it a great digital Christmas gift for family, friends, businesses, and organizations. You could even start a tradition with a photo recipe book created from favorite family recipes, photos, and memories. You can also preserve memories by creating Photo Show DVDs with up to 150 digital photos for just $20 on Shutterfly or Kodak Gallery. Walgreens has some of the best prices around for gifts you can create from your digital photos, including photo books, magnets, aprons, and much more.

Mom won't have to carry around a ton of photos in her purse anymore if you gift her with a digital keychain. Amazon.com and Overstock.com, carry a huge selection of digital key chains, starting at around $12.99. They come in a variety of shapes, colors, and storage capacity, and are so affordable you can stuff one in everyone's stocking. Shipping is a bargain on both websites, too. Spend more than $25 and get free super saver shipping on Amazon, or get $2.95 shipping on Overstock.com. Overstock also has more than 120 digital cameras on their website for under $100--including The Sharper Image Mini Digital Camera for just $20 and Vivitar10x25 Digital Camera Binoculars for only $31.99! You can also find a tremendous variety at major chain retailers.

Digital photo frames are another hot digital Christmas gift, and prices have dropped considerably since last year. You can pick up a Coby 7-inch Widescreen Digital photo frame, for example, for under $50 on Amazon.com. It supports multiple memory formats, and also stores music and movies in addition to digital photos. It's a wonderful digital Christmas gift for dad to put on his desk at work (or for the grandparents, who probably have more framed photos than shelf space to display them). Big box retailers such as Walmart or Best Buy are also great places to pick up discounted digital Christmas gifts.

If your budget is really stretched this Christmas, head over to Smilebox.com, where you can create a digital scrapbook set to music, then email it to the recipient. And you can't beat the price--they're free!

This is a great time of year to purchase digital Christmas gifts. Keep an eye out for discount codes and free shipping to stretch your holiday budget even further.
