If you're an Associated Content writer or subscriber, then you know that Halloween is happening at AC this year. But it's been happening here for several years. Looking through the archives for the best Halloween articles yields up articles dating clear back to 2006 and hundreds since. There are amazing ideas in the creative minds of Associated Content Contributors!

Here are some of my favorites from the ones I read and checked out.

Best Home Made Halloween Costume Ideas on AC

R. Elizabeth C. Kitchen gives her ideas for some inexpensive costumes for adults but most of her ideas would work for children also. I really like the tourist and hippie suggestions.

Meg C. presents five ideas for homemade Halloween costumes. I especially like the zombie and the Bride of Frankestein costume idea which would work for any age.

Jolynne Hudnell has a nice article that covers costumes aimed at children with some detailed descriptions but also an additional list of ideas in case you just need an idea to get started on your creative process.

Lisa Riggs has some of the most original and clever ideas for inexpensive homemade costumes in her article. A road, electrified jogger, people in the shower, and a laundry basket will win you the top prize for most creative costume!

Michelle Devon writes a fun and clever article about how not only did she create two very inexpensive costumes for her children, she made money at it!

Timothy Sexton has written my favorite Halloween costume article for AC, although I'm not for sure you can actually "wear" his ideas, but it's a great fun read to get you to thinking of clever costumes of your own!

Constance Phillips has 10 great ideas for costumes with some of them being more humorous and daring for adults..like the bathing suit beauty contest winner...(with a man wearing the costume!)

Superheros are always a good choice for Halloween costumes for kids, and Luke M. gives us some great ideas on how to turn your little guy or girl into a cool superhero!

If you're a last minute Mom like me, this article by Lori Wheat gives some ideas for costumes you can make the same day!

And last but definitely not least is this highly original article by Lori Lane, who always comes up with quirky and creative ideas! Her ideas for teens would work for adults just as well. It's a fun and clever article.

In addition to these great Halloween costume articles, there are hundreds more on the AC website. Associated Content is really where Halloween is happening this year!
