I grew up near Mexico and I ate Mexican food for most of my life. I tried Italian food for the first time when I was in College and a friend made me try some lasagna. This was many years ago and I have been eating Italian food several times a week ever since. I moved to New Rochelle, NY just a few years ago and I was able to find some amazing Italian food here. Cafe Kimi is a bakery and Italian eatery that serves some of the best Italian food I have ever had. The restaurant is owned by an older lady and guy and they wake up every day at 4am to make the food. I was told this while speaking to them during lunch one afternoon. What I like best is their daily lunch special because they serve some of the best lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce that I have ever had. Mondays is the day to go to get their lasagna. All of their lunch plates are serves with bread and costs just $4. They also have good brownies but they are closed by 5pm each day and lunch ends at 1pm. The restaurant is located at 487 Main Street.

A No 1 is a restaurant that offers a variety of Italian dishes and the selection is huge. Their lasagna is some of the best I have ever had because it comes with meatballs and a lot of cheese. The lasagna costs $9 but they are open from 10am to 4am daily so it is great late night food. They are located at 599 North Avenue and this is one of the best Italian food restaurants I have ever tried.

Terranova Brick Oven Pizzeria and Restaurant is the location for great pizza because it is brick over. It has a unique burnt taste that I love. Their large pizza is $15 and I believe it is expensive but worth it. I also love their chicken marsala dish because it tasted very well spiced. They are open until 10pm each night and they are located at 123 Pelham Road.
