Best Japanese and Sushi Restaurants in Orlando, Florida

Lisa Stevens
Whether you are traveling in Orlando or live in the Central Florida area there are plenty of Japanese and Sushi restaurants to choose from when dining out. Whether you are looking for a quick Bento box lunch, a hibachi grill dinner experience or a quiet place to sit and enjoy Sushi these restaurants in Orlando and the surrounding area are great places to eat at:

Kobe Japanese Steak House

Kobe is my favorite Japanese restaurant and the price is pretty good for the amount of food you receive. When you go to Kobe you can either eat in a private table or eat with other patrons around a large hibachi grill. If you are looking for Sushi only you can eat in their Sushi bar and watch the rolls being made right in front of you.

Kobe also has a half priced Sushi special on Friday night in the Sushi bar only from 8PM to Closing. You can get some really good rolls and beer for under $10 this way. They also offer a 2 for $25 meal deal nightly also from 8PM to Closing which allows you to have a big meal without breaking the bank. With 9 locations in Florida conveniently located off of I-4 from Longwood to Clearwater Beach Kobe isn't that hard to find for a night out. Click the link to see their website and locations.

Ichiban

Ichiban Japanese restaurant and Sushi cafe is another great place to eat if you are in Downtown Orlando. Ichiban serves lunch and dinner from the grill at your table and also has a Sushi bar where you can watch the rolls being made. Happy hour will give you half priced Sashimi, rolls and drink specials and the specials allow you to enjoy yourself for under $15.

They also serve Bento boxes you can eat in the restaurant or take out with you. Being located at Central Ave. and Wall St. makes it perfect location for tourists, locals or for a bite after work. Reservations required for large parties.

Seito Sushi

Whether you are looking for a hot Bento boxed lunch or dinner, something small from the grill or a variety of Sashimi and rolls Seito Sushi is a great place to go. Seito has dinner options available for you but they focus more on the Sushi end of eating. With 4 locations in Celebration, Baldwin Park, Sandlake and Winter Park you can usually find a Seito Sushi not that far from I-4.

Seito is a little pricey during the dinner hour but lunch is reasonably priced and they sometimes have specials during dinner for rolls and drinks. Click the link above for locations, hours and times for each location.

Ran-Getsu

Ran-Getsu is an International Drive institution in Orlando. Right in the heart of the tourist district Ran-Getsu offers a hibachi dinner show and a large Sushi bar area if you aren't into the dinner show. I really like Ran-Getsu, but because it is in the Disney and Universal Studios area you will be paying tourist prices to eat here. When my husband and I go we go when they are offering the 3 rolls for $12.50 special after 5PM or the 2 for 1 Nigiri Sushi on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5PM to Closing.

If you want a great meal and a great show Ran-Getsu is a great place to go.
