Best Jobs/Careers for Bi-Polar People
Writer- Being a writer takes a great deal of imagination. Whether you write for an online blog or write a fictional novel, your writing skills can be greatly enhanced by the fact that you are bi-polar. The best thing about writing as a career is that you are able to put all the imaginations that you have in your mind to work for you. Writing is great therapy for those who have bi-polar disorder. Bi-polar people are often loners and writing is a job that can be done completely alone.
Artist- Artists have to be extremely creative in order to succeed. Even then, it is difficult to sell their work. Having bi-polar disorder could be just the edge you need in order to be a successful artist. Painting, drawing or any other type of artwork is great therapy as well. If you have a passion for arts, this may be just the career that will make you a success because of your bi-polar disorder.
Photographer- Photography allows you to be creative but there is another bi-polar tendency that will help make you a successful photographer. Since bi-polar people tend to enjoy the company of other people at times but often prefers to be alone, photography gives you that ability. You can photograph people and events one day and trees, lakes and mountains the next to give you the variety you need to keep you happy.
Actor/Actress- Being an actor or actress allows you some creativity and some outlets for your bi-polar disorder. It is true that not everyone can be an actor or actresses. Actors and actresses are often known for the moodiness. Some call it being a Diva, others would simply call it bi-polar behavior. You would fit in perfectly with that type of job. It allows you to be who you are while pretending to be someone else.
Singer/Songwriter- There is little that will tug at the heart strings of the people more than a sad song or a song about being happy. People with bi-polar disorder can use their extreme moods to write songs that can easily turn into number one hits. You can go the extra step and sing the songs yourself. It's a great outlet for all the feelings you are dealing with.
Inventor- Inventors are what helps the world progress. If you have an extremely creative mind, becoming an inventor can make you a very successful business person. Inventors are often alone which is great for bi-polar people when the mood is to be alone. It also gives you a chance to be around people when you are launching your ideas. It is the perfect mix of necessary situations for the bi-polar personality.
The key to finding successful careers when you are bi-polar is to find something that doesn't tie you down too much to traditional methods of work. Freelance work of any kind works well because you can set your own hours and pace so that you don't overwhelm yourself and you can deal with the mood swings without disrupting other peoples workday. Being bi-polar isn't something that people dream about being diagnosed with, but it can be made to work for you rather than against you as well.
