    Great information!
I've got a Compaq CQ62 series laptop. It was under $400, has 3G RAM and works wonderfully for my purposes (mostly writing). It has a full sized keyboard which really makes a difference when you have to type a lot of papers.

Hi. I never liked Dell, and I've been disappointed by HP in recent years, but I like the sound of the Toshiba. I really ought -at some time- to obtain a laptop.
