Best Level 80 Dps Warrior Talent Spec for Arms and Fury: World of Warcraft

Brandon Cobb
This is a great warrior talent spec.

World of warcraft has pushed the envelope with wrath of the lich king. The wow world is changing and World of Warcraft players must adapt. So this is the first dps warrior build for the new World of Warcraft. At level 80, the best talent spec will be 18/53. This is because titans grip will proc instant slams and deep wounds will be ticking for great damage especially with two handed weapon specialization kicking your damage up six percent with only three points invested. Some great warrior dps talents are in both trees and there are many dps talents that look so good for warriors. Too bad we only have so many talent points to complete our spec.

The first arms warriors dps talent you will get is 3/3 improved heroic strike. This will enable you to dump rage more efficiently and let's face it; this is just one of those filler points. This really has no great upside because it will really not contribute to your warrior dps in any noticeable way.

The second arms warrior dps talent you will pick up is improved rend 2/2. This increased bleed damage will enable you to keep a rend up because you will be switching to battle stance ever so often now due to having tactical mastery in the arms tree. This will not improve dps by much and I have been an advocate of changing this talent to improved bleeds so it affects deep wounds also.

The third arms warrior dps talent you will pick up is 2/2 improved charge. This is another filler point that will not contribute to dps unless you are picking off trash in a five man. You can replace this with anything else in the arms tree if you wish.

The fourth arms warrior dps talent you will pick up is tactical mastery 3/3. This is a great talent that will allow more rage management. This use to be in the protection tree. Now we can take this talent and still get all of our other cool warrior dps talents.

The fifth arms warrior dps talent you will want to get is 2/2 impale. This talent will increase your critical strike damage, and you will be getting a lot of criticals. This talent is one of the best dps increases you will get for 2 points. Plus it leads to another great talent.

Your sixth arms warrior dps talent will be 3/3 deep wounds. This is (as of right now) averaging 30% of a warrior's total damage. I have a feeling this will be fixed soon, but even if it is cut in half then it may be the best 3 points in the whole build. This will increase dps by a substantial amount, to say the least.

The seventh arms warrior dps talent you need to pick up is 3/3 two handed weapon specialization. These 3 points will give you a 6% overall dps increase. This is a must have for a TG fury warrior build. This talent will help push you dps into the number one spot. That wraps up the arms dps talents. Now let's move to the fury dps talents.

The first fury warrior dps talent you will pick up is armored to the teeth 3/3. With 15k armor (which is about what you will have at 80) this talent will be making over 250 attack power. That is a pretty good dps increase and at the same time helps you fill up the first three tiers of the fury tree.

The second fury warrior dps talent you will pick up is 5/5 cruelty. Since fury warriors are based around critical strikes, the is a great talent that is a very early pick. This will pick your dps up quite a bit. If you throw in the increase in deep wound ticks plus flurry, this talent is probably and overall dps increase of 9%.

The third fury warrior dps talent you need to get is 4/5 unbridled wrath. This talent is not a huge increase in rage generation. This is really no as needed as some other talents and could be replaced. I would say that in longer encounters, this talent shines a little. This talent will not increase your dps noticeably unless you look on the charts.

The fourth fury warrior talent you need is 5/5 commanding presence. This talent increases you battle shout by 25%. At level 80, this will probably equal another 150 attack power. This is not a lot for 5 points. But this is a filler point so just be glad it isn't completely useless.

The fifth fury warrior talent you will pick up is 5/5 dual wield specialization. This increases your off had damage by 25%. Don't let this number fool you. It does not make you off hand do 75% total damage now. It increases the 50% that the offhand normally does by 25%. This brings your off hand to a grand total of 62.5% of what your main hand. This is only a 12.5% dps increase with your off hand, but the increased rage, whirlwinds, and deep wounds ticks makes this talent worth getting.

The sixth fury warrior talent is 3/3 precision. This will almost offset the TG penalty of 5% hit. This is a great talent because when you hit the hit cap, you can start gemming for crit and AP. It is very nice to be able to not miss. Hit is two times more important than crit at base stats because of the lack of constant rage. Remember that the RNG (random number generator) calculates crit first, then hit/miss. So the swing you just missed could have been your crit. Enough about hit, just know hit over crit any day.

The seventh fury warrior talent you will take is death wish. This talent has been tweaked and messed with so much there is no telling what it will look like in a week. It will always be a must. Just get it.

The eighth fury warrior talent is 2/2 weapon mastery. This talent is not as good as it use to be, but still ok. You need to stack up to 6% dodge reduction, and this helps with your task. Overall, this is about like getting two hit rating for 2 points plus a nifty little rogue deterrent. This won't increase dps all that much, but you will actually notice not being dodged as much.

The ninth fury warrior talent is probably the trademark talent of fury warriors. That is before shamans got the unnerffed version of it. Take 5/5 flurry. This talent will increase you dps, rage generation, and fun factor of your class. You will be critting like crazy and with 33% crit and hit rating capped, you will be in a constant flurry. This will also have some synergy with unbridled wrath. The dps increase is huge and I have to say this is my favorite talent.

The tenth fury warrior talent you need is bloodthirst. With all of the attack power stacking up, you need to unleash the beast. This attack is awesome when stacked with raid buffs and will account for 10% of your damage easily. This attack is unique in its ability to damage the target even without a main hand weapon equipped.

The eleventh fury warrior talent you will pick up is 2/2 improved whirlwind. This increased damage will show up even more with TG and the recent buff that makes WW hit with both hands. This will account for a lot of your dps. It will also make a lot of big numbers while running alts through instances.

The twelfth fury warrior talent you need is 2/2 furious attacks. This talent isn't really for dps. This talent brings utility to the build and at the same time make the build a little better for PvP. This talent may not increase dps, but it may get you into a lot more groups.

The thirteenth fury warrior talent will be 5/5 improved berserker stance. This talent kills two birds with one stone. It gives fury warriors a reason to stay in berserker stance. The threat reduction plus the attack power bonus, makes this one of the best talents.

The fourteenth fury warrior talent you will pick up is rampage. Since this talent was changed, I will agree that it is a little overpowered. Not only does it give a warrior a constant 5% crit, it gives it to all raid members. This talent will make more raid dps than any talent in all of the warrior's talents and maybe in all talents in the whole game. This is a must have. This will get your warrior into raids.

The fifteenth fury warrior talent you need to pick up is 3/3 bloodsurge. This talent has been buffed up a lot. Every six seconds you will get an instant slam. This will make your rotations so tight nit that you may not miss a beat between bloodthirsts. This will increase dps a lot.

The sixteenth fury warrior talent you need is 5/5 unending fury. This increases all of you main moves base dps. This will result in a 5% net damage increase. That is a lot of dps to be added on top of moves that already have a lot of synergy.

The last fury warrior talent you will get is Titan's grip. This is the corner stone to the whole build. At the time of me writing this, TG has a 12% hit penalty. It is in the patch notes to become a 5% hit penalty. This will make TG alone, (not counting any synergy with crits, impale, slam, whirl wind, deep wounds, dual wield specialization, and any other talents), a 12% white damage increase and a 7% total damage increase. This is a very good 51 point talent and has a ton of dps synergy. When raid buffs and the extra damage off two hander enchants are put into play, TG will be the king of dps.

Overall, the warrior should be back on the world of warcraft charts and number one or two at sustained damage. World of warcraft has shunned the warrior with constant nerfs for the last 2 years. It is time warriors get some wow loving.
