A marvelous find, its diminutive size does not inhibit the amount of treasures it holds. Adjacent to Waterstone Grill restaurant-both owned by the friendly and hospitable Joanne Tubo-this home décor shop has become the anteroom to the restaurant.
And while dining may draw you in, browsing will occupy your time quite happily if you must await a table. For home décor enthusiasts, Wind in the Willows is a genuine treat. And for anyone else, it's a truly enjoyable find.
This little shop now specializes in unusual, aged pieces that add the finishing touch or that je ne se quoi to make your home's décor unique. Antique draw pulls, elaborate switch plates, uncommon finials, wonderful wrought iron pieces-the alluring items displayed in this small space invite customers to touch.
Beautiful tapestries with Old World charm may be the perfect selection for your two-story foyer or living room. Or perhaps pretty blue and white porcelain "pitchers," as wall décor, may prove a delightful accompaniment to your own china in your dining room. And silverplated key hooks with a wine motif add that touch of whimsy that just makes you smile.
For your garden's enchantment, Wind in the Willows offers lovely wind chimes-with or without the delicate music-casting shimmers of multicolored light as the sun glints off the individual pieces. And decorative hanging votive holders would be pretty in any backyard, dangling gracefully from tree limbs.
Even if your preference is just a bit of self-indulgence, Joanne will be happy to show you the latest jewelry sets that have arrived.
So, if special items are your desire, make a stop at 4849 North Main Street (770-974-4899). Shopping at Wind in the Willows, followed by lunch at Waterstone Grill, is an afternoon quite enjoyably spent.
This tour continues along Main Street in Acworth for the next stop.
