My family holds a love of reading and we are always at the library!!
Got a library card if not get one; now you can borrow more than a book from the library these days. Most community branches offer a current line of dvds, cds, books on tape and magazines to view. All for free! Even getting a library card is free; all you need is a valid id and proof of residents and you got yourself a card to a world of literacy.
The children's department is more than a little persons version of the adult section of the library its a learning center; with a computers and crafts for the children to enjoy taking the kids to the library is a mini field trip in itself. Don't have Internet at home?; no worries the library had free connection for all your web needs. Got a paper due and don't have a printer or software at home? The library also has computers for this and can print anything out for you for as little as $.05 cents a page.
So instead of Barnes & Noble or Books Inc. for your next book craving visit your local library for FREE!!!
My top choices for libraries the whole family can enjoy:

Oakwood Public Library
http://www.wrightlibrary.org/
Although not a very popular branch for the Kettering community folks in Oakwood enjoy this one very much; I use to visit this library often when i lived in that area and it's so historical with two floors and a wing dedicated to a children's' program for story times and puppet shows its' the perfect little spot for Field trips and play dates. In order to get a card for this library you must within city limits and show proof of id. they carry a variety of media materials and have book catalog system as well as a section for student research. With its' artsy feel and old time decor' you believe your are visiting a library from the past!

Post a Commentmy kids love it too. sometimes i cant even get them to go home; where we go they have daily craft projects for the kids to do. thanks for your feedback
I love the library. We get DVD's there all the time. Why would I pay the video store for something I can get for free at the library? My daughter loves going, too. She'll be 3 in a couple of weeks and she likes playing with the puzzles in the kid's section. I don't trust her to get her own books yet. That is a mess just waiting to happen! haha
