Best Love Songs

C. Moss
Love songs are about the relationships we have in our daily lives. A great love song is meant to inspire you to not give up on love itself. And other songs are even the perfect expressions of platonic love. Sometimes a song may not even be about love but it still fits. Here is a list of some of my favorite and memorable songs.

'Crazy' by Aerosmith. How could anyone not like this song?

'66' by Afghan Whigs. I'm not sure that many people have heard this before. This song is amazing.

'Elaborate Lives' from the musical Aida. The play was amazing and the songs are great.

'All I Know' by Art Garfunkel. I really like the piano arrangement.

'Hold On Love' by Azure Ray. It's a nice, simple song. The lyrics are really good.

'I've Just Seen A Face' by The Beatles. This song is just awesome. And since it's really fun and easy to play on guitar, perhaps you could play for someone.

'Something' by The Beatles. The lyrics are amazing.

'Strawberry Fields Forever' by The Beatles. Great song.

'All Need Is Love' by The Beatles. It's a classic in a category by itself.

'By My Side' by Ben Harper. This man is a genius. Go listen to his albums.

'This Modern Love' by Bloc Party. An awesome band with a lot of talent. This song is one of many that constantly inspire me to make music.

'Thank You For Loving Me' by Bon Jovi. This song is one of his best.

'A Song For Mama' by Boys ll Men. This song is incredibly moving. The lyrics are heartfelt
because they allow you to take a look at your relationship that you have with your mother, past or present.

'Hero/Heroine' by Boys Like Girls. There's something about this song. I think it's genius.

'The Scientist' by Coldplay. A lot of their songs are brilliant but this one stands out the most.

'Breathless' by The Corrs. This song was so overplayed the year it came out. I had no choice but to catch the wave.

'Just My Imagination' by The Cranberries. I think it's their best song.

'Just Like Heaven' by The Cure. I think it's one of the best songs of its decade.

'Time After Time' by Cyndi Lauper. This song is still heard all over the place today. Timeless.

'The Blower's Daughter' by Damien Rice. His voice is amazing.

'Thinking Over' by Dana Glover. This is one of my favorites of all time. I recommend turning the volume up full blast.

'The First Time' by Daniel Cage. I'm still not sure who this guy is but this song is great.

'Stolen' by Dashboard Confessional. This is one of many songs that could be on this list.

'Where Are You Going' by Dave Matthews Band. A great song with a lot of heart.

'This Years Love' by David Gray. The whole album is amazing.

'I Will Follow You Into The Dark' by Death Cab For Cutie. The lyrics are really haunting. Hands down, the best song on this list.

'Romeo & Juliet' by Dire Straits. I'm a sucker for anything acoustic.

'Save Tonight' by Eagle Eye Cherry. I was about eleven when this song came out. Even then I knew that this song is something special.

'Wonderfully Strange' by Eman. This song reminds me of myself. Although, I have never considered myself to be wonderful.

'I Will Buy You A New Life' by Everclear. This is the best alternative band of all time.

'Breathe' by Faith Hill. I'm not really into country but she is my exception.

'In The Sun' by Joseph Arthur. A great acoustic song.

'Again' by Lenny Kravitz. The music is awesome.

'Farther Down' by Matthew Sweet. This is his best song.

'Come What May' from the movie 'Moulin Rouge'. The movie is incredible and this song is so heartbreaking.

'Don't Go Away' by Oasis. One of those songs that tend to stick with you.

'Bruise' by Oleander. The vocals are as good as the lyrics.

'Book of Love' by Peter Gabriel. This song is heartbreaking. Everything fits so perfectly in this song.

'Heart Of Mine' by Peter Salett. Catchy in its own way.

'Katy Song' by Red House Painters. I love songs like this. The ones that can go on forever and yet it gets better every minute.

'Your Guardian Angel' by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I love the transition between the soft acoustic sounds to the loud electric guitars.

'I'll Cover You (Reprise)' from Rent. This musical is amazing and the song equally so.

'Something Stupid' version by Robbie Williams ft. Nicole Kidman. This duet surprised me but a good song though.

'Bottle It Up' by Sara Bareilles. The lyrics are clever and the melody is catchy.

'Building A Mystery' by Sarah Mclachlan. This song got me hooked on her music.

'Loved By The Sun' by Tangerine Dream. When I first heard this song when I was about five. And it still amazes me.

'So Happy Together' by The Turtles. This is one of my favorite songs of all time.

'Thousand Miles' by Vanessa Carlton. The piano arrangement is pretty sweet.

'You're A God' by Vertical Horizon. A great song. Most people probably know this song but not the artist.

'Gone Til' November' by Wyclef Jean. This song is amazing. When he plays it live it's so moving.
