Even the pull-out sports cards featured in each issue often have photos and stats of female athletes. If your tween girl is into sports, Sports Illustrated for Kids, may be the perfect tween magazine subscription for you.

National Geographic Kids. Many tween girls are very into animals and National Geographic Kids is the perfect magazine for this group. National Geographic Kids features beautiful photography and great articles on all sorts of animals. Environmental issues, games, and activity ideas are also included in this great magazine subscription for tween girls.

Discovery Girls. Discovery Girls is a great magazine subscription for tween girls. My daughter loved NG Kids when she was a tween :)....I'm afraid these days she's into "Seventeen".

Great ideas, I'd also recommend Shine from the GEMS organization. It is a great magazine that gets them involved in service, crafts and their community.

As long as they're not too fashion oriented..I really dislike girls magazines that get all fashiony..:)
