Makeup can play havoc with an individual who suffers with sensitive skin issues. Let's face it, not everyone can use everything without experiencing problems. Just as some cannot wear pierced earring other than those made from 18 Karat gold or higher, some cannot wear all brands of makeup.

If you are one of those individuals who has sensitive skin issues and find that makeup can be a problem, try the Prescriptive brand of makeup. Ten to one, Prescriptive makeup has proven to be the choice of women who suffer with eye allergies or sensitive skin issues.

Prescriptive Makeup For Sensitive Eyes

Most people with sensitive skin or eye issues refer their friends and others to the Prescriptive line of makeup and skin care products. Prescriptive has a number of pre-blended items available for the consumer. However, in order to work with the individual needs of their clients, Prescriptive ask that you provide them with your pre-blended recipe which has been designed for your individual needs.

According to Jules a representative at Prescriptive, "At Prescriptives we find the word hypoallergenic less than satisfying as a formulation goal. It only means that the formula does not contain any ingredients which have been shown to cause allergies, and we never use such ingredients. Instead, we prefer to test our products for any potential irritation that could occur, and we only use ingredients and formulas which have the lowest irritation potential possible. We also have dermatologists test our formulas.

Jules also went on to further identify the companies mission by stating: "We utilize state-of-the-art testing methods to ensure the safety and efficacy of our products. All of our ingredients and formulations are tested in vitro and on human volunteers. We do not test our products on animals, nor do we ask others to conduct animal testing on our behalf.

When discussing their guarantee to their customers and internal loyalties Jules stated, "Consumer safety has always been top priority at Prescriptives. Therefore, our product safety testing requires collaboration of experts across several sciences, including toxicology, microbiology, environmental chemistry, manufacturing and engineering. To ensure the safety of all products brought to market by Prescriptive, formulations and their packaging must exceed the high Company standards for ingredient preservation and stability, product efficacy and package compatibility.

The executive team at Prescriptive has decided to close all counters nationwide. Clients who could visit their local department store and obtain information and details based on their personal needs can no longer talk to someone face-to-face. While Prescriptives is one of the most popular sensitive skin plus product lines, the economy has yet another victim.

Women with sensitive skin issues and desiring only Prescriptive can visit the Prescriptive website at www.prescriptives.com and voice their opinion on the closing of their counters nationwide.

I seldom wear make-up, so it's no surprise I've never heard of this brand. Interesting story, and glad to hear they don't test on animals.
