Best Makeup and Skin Care Tips

Whenever you are buying makeup one thing you should always keep in mind is whether the makeup you are buying will be good for your skin and your skin type. That's because one of the most common causes of skin problems lies with the kinds of makeup you use. So when you are buying makeup, try to remember that makeup and skin care are not two exclusive things.

Buying makeup that works well for your skin type is vital to skin care. For instance, if you are someone who has sensitive skin you should buy makeup that is hypoallergenic that won't irritate your sensitive skin. Also, if you have dry skin you should buy makeup with built in moisturizers and if you are someone with oily skin you should buy oil, wax and lipid-free makeup for optimal skin care

Another way to care for the skin when wearing makeup is to remember that you should never sleep with makeup on. If you have makeup on for too long it tends to clog the pores and give way to pimples and acne. So remember to wash makeup from your face before going to bed.

When washing makeup from the face at nights you should always use a mild makeup remover or a hypoallergenic makeup remover instead of just plain old water. This will ensure that all makeup is removed from the face and no leftover makeup residue will be on your face overnight to clog your pores and cause pimples and acne.

Another makeup and skin care tip is that you should always test makeup on the back of your hand or on your earlobes before applying makeup to your face. This should be done to see if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the makeup. It is better you find out that you are allergic to one of the ingredients in makeup on a small portion of your hand or on your earlobes and not on your face.

You may also want to check the makeup's ingredients (read the labels) before you test the makeup on any part of your body or commit to buy any makeup. Preventing your skin from having an allergic reaction or a negative reaction to harsh chemicals in makeup is good skin care.

Another good makeup skin care tip is to never use makeup too close to or beyond its expiry date. Always check to see when you're makeup will expire and never use it if it is too close to the expiry date or beyond it to avoid putting rancid makeup on your face that can lead to a bacterial outbreak on the face or anywhere you apply the expired makeup.

Also remember to keep your makeup kit, sponges and makeup brushes as clean as possible for good skin care. Leaving makeup tools dirty or leaving makeup out in the open can cause germs wherever you apply the rancid makeup. So for good hygiene, keep your tools as clean as possible and keep the lids on your makeup to preserve them for a long time.

Cleanliness is the order of the day when it comes to makeup and skin care. Also, remember to take the precautions listed above and you will make makeup and skin care a marriage made in beauty heaven.
