Chuy's
18035 IH 45 South
Shenandoah, TX 77385
Website: www.chuys.com
Originally started in Austin in 1983, Chuy's is a Central Texas icon. Now with locations in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston, Chuy's is a household name. In the Houston area, there are locations in Shenandoah, just south of Conroe, Humble, River Oaks, and Hwy 290. Covered in tacky Elvis décor (if you want to know why, check out their website) Chuy's is a fun place to come and hang out and get a great meal. Chuy's food is always fresh and the margarita's are phenomenal. Open Sunday -Thursday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Happy Hour is daily from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. and with the Fully Loaded Nacho Bar and $3.50 House Rita's, who wouldn't be happy.

Always a favorite of mine and my family, Casa Ole' was originally started in 1973 in Pasadena, TX. Growing in popularity almost overnight, Casa Ole' is now all over the Houston area. Personally, I love the Chile con queso for an appetizer, but they have so much to choose from. Great combo plates, prices, and catering are available. Try their lunch and Happy Hour specials through the week. Open Sunday through Thursday 11a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Casa Ole' offers something for everyone.
Margarita's

Open 7 days a week, Margarita's is a fun atmosphere and has wonderful Mexican food. Margarita's offers full bar and great drink specials both with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. The smoothies are divine, and the combo plates are huge! My recommendations? Try the Stuffed jalapeños appetizer and the Stuffed Avocados. Both are wonderful! Prices are just right and occasionally, you may even see the Mariachi walking around to serenade you. They also have a location in Huntsville.
Now that I know where to go, I'm going to get some Mexican food! I might have to try them all to decide which my new favorite is!
