If you desire a great chimichanga try the Chimichanga de Macayo. It has a crispy fried flour tortilla stuffed with your choice of shredded beef, chicken or pork covered in Macayo's zesty relleno sauce and sour cream. The Chimichanga de Macayo is my personal favorite menu item. It is served with rice or beans for $9.99. Another recommendation is the Macayo's Famous Cheese Crisp Starter for $6.29. This appetizer consists of a crispy flour tortilla smothered with layers of melted cheeses; you may add chicken or beef for $1.99, guacamole $1.99, and farm fresh chilies $.99 Cinco de Mayo festivities include food and drink specials, live music,piƱatas and face painting. Aunt Chilada's is situated beneath Squaw Peak Mountain, and it is a historic landmark. Constructed in the 1890's from desert stone and railroad ties, the original building served as a supply storehouse and general store for the mercury miners that worked in the area.
