Best Movies for Summer 2010

This Summer Has Some Exciting Sequels and Remakes

Debbie H.
There are so many movies coming out this summer and here is a list of the top five according to me. Please note that the release dates may change. I found the release date on the internet, but sometimes the movie is released a little later.

5. Sex and the City 2

Release date: May 27, 2010

I actually never watched Sex and the City when it was on TV, but it was a favorite among many people I know. I missed the first Sex and the City in 2008, but plan to make it to this comedy. The stars from the first Sex and the City are back for more adventure and fun.

4. The Twilight Saga- Eclipse

Release date: June 30, 2010

In this movie Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. Seattle is ravaged by a series of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. If you read this book series be sure to watch the movie as well.

3. The Switch

Release date: August 20, 2010

Jennifer Aniston stars in this movie as a single women who wants a child. Sound familiar, isn't that what she wants in real life. For that reason I think she will do a good job in this role. Her best friend helps her with the artificial insemination process. In the process, though, he replaces the donor's semen with his own. He keeps the secret from her that he is the child's real father.

2. The Karate Kid

Release date: June 11, 2010

The original Karate Kid was a huge blockbuster back in 1984. Most kids today don't know about the movie though. This is a remake of the original movie. The 12 year old Dre Parker is played by Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith. The master of kung fu is played by Jackie Chan. In this remake Dre Parker was once a very popular kid in Detroit, but a career move from the mother land them in China. 12 year old Parker is beat up by the class bully and finally seeks help from Jackie Chan who is secretly a master of Kung Fu. This sounds like it will live up to the high standards from the first Karate Kid back in 1984.

1. Ironman 2

Release date: May 7, 2010

Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow return to star in this sequel to Ironman. Now the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the superhero Ironman. The government wants him to share his technology with the military. I loved the first Ironman and expect this to be great as well.
