Best Multiple Location Restaurants of 2009

Abby Slutsky
Since many people travel for business and pleasure, restaurants that are chains or have multiple locations give them the ability to know the quality of the food they will purchase and the menu selections before they walk in the door. Here are some of the best chain restaurants to enjoy at home or away.

Fine Dining

1. Fleming's
Flemings is known for excellent meats, but they offer fish and poultry selections as well. If you book a reservation through their website, they frequently offer incentives such as $25.00 off your meals or wine flights.

2. Capital Grill
This restaurant has delicious meats and a pretty ambiance. Try the shrimp cocktail appetizer and be treated to some of the nicest looking shellfish around.

3. Celebrity Chef Emeril's restaurants feature New Orleans style entrees at their finest. Whether you want seafood, meat, poultry, or a vegetarian dish, your palate is sure to be satisfied with his bold spices and flavors.

Casual and Moderately Priced

1. Ted's Montana Grill
Generous portions at a reasonable price are served at this restaurant serving an all American style menu. Try the nut encrusted fish and the mashed potatoes.

2. P.F. Changs
This Asian style restaurant offers a fun décor and delicious food at reasonable prices. In addition to the usual Chinese fare, new gluten free selections make it convenient for many customers and the restaurant is sensitive to diet restrictions and requires waiters to ask about allergies before taking orders. The lettuce wraps are a favorite to share.

3. Outback Steakhouse
This mid-priced restaurant offers meat, pasta, and poultry with an Australian flair. It has a kid's menu and also serves sandwiches in the evening for those who want to dine on lighter fare.7. California Pizza Kitchen offers a diversified affordable menu that is perfect for a casual dinner or lunch. Featuring more than just pizza, this restaurant offers generous salads, sandwiches, and more.

4. Panera Breads is perfect for a casual healthy lunch or to pick up a delicious bakery bread. Try their pick two entrees and have a lunch customized to your taste. The Asian Chicken Salad is a favorite.

5. The Cheesecake Factory seems to have lines wherever it is located. The cheesecake is decadent no matter which flavor, but the entrees will keep you coming back too. Great salads, generously sized sandwiches, and a wide variety of entrees make this a favorite. However, no kids menu despite the kid friendly atmosphere.

Breakfast

1. The Original Pancake House is not a fancy restaurant, but for a reasonably priced breakfast it is tough to beat. Whether you are seeking a large puffy apple pancake or generous blueberry pancakes, you are sure to leave stuffed and satisfied. This chain is primarily in the South.
