Springfield Music Store Just Can't Be "Beat"

Jennifer Bove
Springfield Music Store is of a rare breed these days. It is a store where you can go in and explore. A place you can ask questions, and not be made to feel like a nuisance. The people that work here are truly interested in helping you in whatever your musical needs. The people at Springfield Music store are also the type to remember you even if you haven't visited in a while. The store has so much to offer, just waiting for you to pop on in.

Springfield Music Where Everyone Fits in Somewhere, From Beginner to Seasoned Musician

On the basement level is where you would go to receive lessons in guitar, bass, brass, piano, strings, woodwind, drums, voice, acting, harmonica and even accordion. The lessons are taught in half hour intervals at $20.00 a lesson. As I said, all fit in here, as lessons in all these categories go from beginner, most starting at age seven, some even six, to advanced. I bought my oldest daughter's first drum set and she took her lessons here. She ended up highly sought after in school because she was so well-rounded from her lessons. She was accepted into the marching band, orchestra and the jazz band. The teachers are down to earth and really have a knack for keeping the young set happy and interested in their instrument and bring out their talents like a flower blossoming. Just as they keep the younger set happy, they keep the more advanced students challenged, never bored.

Springfield Music Management and Employees

Al Bien is the owner of Swathmore Music as well as Springfield Music stores. He acquired the Springfield Music store in 2001, which at the time was named Lynne music. He and his staff has done wonders with this music store and expanded the lessons and rooms for lessons as the years went by. Staff is laid-back yet professional and very friendly.

Springfield Music Store Sales Stock and Rentals Too

When you walk in the front door of this music store, the first thing you notice is just how much stock there is. The store front itself, on the street level is a fairly small space. For this amount of space you really couldn't imagine how many instruments and accessories are there. It is however, very well organized and staff knows exactly where to lead you, never pushing you into a sale, merely gently guiding you and answering any questions you may have. The prices for what's in stock, or even if something needs to be ordered are all very reasonable. Springfield Music offers rentals as well starting at $29.95 to $59.95. Each instrument has optional insurance at a mere $5.50 to $10.00. The instruments available for rentals are so numerous, to see a full list, please check their rentals section of their website.

Springfield Music Also Offers Repairs

This music store offers most minor repairs on-site, and can send out your instrument if needed. If you are into repairing your instruments yourself, they have a large stock of parts available. Also, for people who like to restore vintage instruments, they do offer some vintage parts.

So you can see why I had to make Springfield Music store top of the list, number one music store in Springfield, PA. There's nothing like a one stop for all your needs kind of place. Most important is how they treat their customers, like family, like friends, like fellow musicians.

In my town they actually seem to do better than stores selling CDs.

The one thing I especially like about that area (Delaware County generally) is that it has more independent businesses than most other places. It's just 2.4 miles south of our family's first apartment.

We love music stores. Since my musician son travels, it's a safe bet he has been here.

Music is such a great asset in a child's life. Not only does it give them an outlet and a focus, it is good for the brain cells!
