Viewers looking to find a crime drama with an element of light and witty bantering should tune into "NCIS". With some of the funniest light hearted joking between the characters, "NCIS" not only shows you the crime scene investigating but the lighter side of enjoying the people you work with as well. The characters from "NCIS" play off of each other's strengths and weaknesses to somehow make the perfect team and no matter what they stand by each other. These are some of the best "NCIS" episodes from their so far eight seasons on air.

The Bone Yard: Season 2 Episode 5

Although FBI Agent Fornell can drive Gibbs crazy he knows that Fornell didn't do what he is accused of. In a trap to lure the real mole in the FBI, Gibbs helps Fornell "hang" himself while in jail so that the real mole feels secure. Everyone including Gibbs's team believe that Fornell is dead.

Chained: Season 2 Episode 10

While undercover Tony is chained to a fugitive, Jeffrey, to try and locate his partner who is believed to be the dominate one. The pair have been selling stolen artifacts from Iraq. After they take a trip over the river and through the roads they eventually wind up a cabin where the partner is at. Early the next morning the partner disappears and Tony is told they left him there. Jeffrey tells Tony they have to get to the airport before the partner, Billy, does. As they arrive Tony tells Jeffrey who he is and that he needs to give himself up. Jeffrey is armed with a knife in the backseat and ready to slit Tonys' throat.

Twisted Sister: Season 4 Episode 9

McGee's sister shows up at his door covered in blood and having no memory of what has happened. Instead of enlisting the help from the team McGee calls in sick and sets out to find out what happened on his own. At the crime scene of a murdered sailor he runs into the team and all signs point to Sara's guilt. Gibbs is upset with McGee for not coming to him but understands. Abby discovers that Sara was drugged while at the college food court. After viewing video they find the true killer and who drugged Sara.

Heartland: Season 6 Episode 4

The team has to return to Gibbs's hometown to track down a murderer. An intrigued team discovers that Gibbs has a father. The viewers learn more about Gibbs in this single episode than in all the others up until this point. The local sheriff is a man from Gibb's past as is the prime suspect in the murder investigation.

Rule Fifty-One: Season 7 Episode 24

Gibbs heads to Mexico to face his past. He is up against the pissed of son and daughter of the drug cartel leader her murder years before. They give Gibbs the option of working with them in smuggling illegal drugs into the country or they will start killing everyone he loves, including his father. The episode and season end with Paloma Reynosa walking into Gibb's fathers store and locking the door behind her.
