Best Nightlife in Green Bay, Wisconsin

S H
Green Bay may be somewhat of a small town, but a town that sure knows how to party. With a bar or pub on just about every street corner (especially in the downtown area), there should never be a lack of something to do after the sun sets.

Bars and Pubs

There is just about a never-ending amount of bars and pubs in Green Bay. Here is a focus on some of the more popular ones.

Bay City Smokehouse

This bar and grill is self-proclaimed to have the best BBQ around. With their award-winning homemade BBQ sauce grilled into several of their delicious smoked meats, who can argue? The Bay City Smokehouse hosts a whopping amount of beers (more than 60 different types) and almost-unbeatable Happy Hour specials.

BrewBaker's Pub

This all-American bar provides a variety of specials, a different one each night of the week - from all-night free pizza on Mondays, to great drink specials on Fridays and Saturdays. Open every single day from 7 PM to 2 AM.

Legends Brewhouse and Eatery

One of the best-located bars, the Legends Brewhouse is right next to the major highways. But the really nice thing about this place is the convenient access to watch whatever you want from your own table! Choose the sports game you want, with individual access to viewing and volume.

Stadium View Sports Bar

If you're into sports bars, be sure to check out Stadium View. This is probably the best sports bar in town, at least if you're a Packers fan. Covered in Packers decor and memorabilia, this is one of the most happening places during a game. Stadium View is just a short walk from Lambeau field and a few major area hotels. A live DJ is hosted every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and Packer Trivia is played during a game. Perhaps the best thing of all is the free shots handed out after every touchdown! Open from Sunday to Thursday, 10 AM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 2:30 AM.

Comedy

Comedy City

You'd best set up a reservation ahead of time, because tickets for this long-running comedy club are high in demand. With a unique display of comedy - two teams of comedians compete with each other, with suggestions from the audience for skit and song ideas - and a variety of concessions, this all age-appropriate club is more than worth a place to spend your Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.

Dance Clubs

Hip Cats

For something different and more upbeat, check out this unique retro club. Music from the 60's to the 80's is played for people of all ages. If you love to dance in an environment with such variety, this is the place to be.

Lexus Club

Open every Friday and Saturday from 9 PM to 2:30 AM, this young, clean dance club is a happening place. It is only accessible by an alley, but once through the doors you'll feel the life of the party. A great atmosphere in a unique building for a club (the old Civic Center), if you're into nightclubs you won't be disappointed with this one.

Other

Green Bay Community Theater

If instead of a party you'd rather spend the night (or at least part of it) relaxing, going to see a play may be just the thing for you. Generally with an admission of only about $14 a person, the Green Bay Community Theater is well worth the try. Just be sure to get your tickets in advance, because it's a pretty popular place to be.
