My Top 3 Ghost Hunters Investigations

Michelle K. Miller
I am a huge Ghost Hunters fanatic, and have gotten several of my friends, and even my husband, into watching this show on SciFi. Most of my favorite investigations have been from past seasons, but I have a few that really scared the bejeezus out of me when I watched season 4, this year. Here are my top three favorite investigations of 2008.

1. Wright-Patterson Airforce Base: This was a two-night investigation, in which the TAPS team had to investigate Building 70 and the Arnold House, two seemingly paranormal hot spots on the base. The first thing that really got me scared, was on the first night, on the second floor of the Arnold House, when Jason is trying to communicate with an entity, asking it to turn on the flashlight, which he placed on the floor, if it was there. A few seconds later, and caught on camera, whatever was there, turned on the flashlight. On night two, with the investigation of Building 70, another thing freaked me out. In the building's warehouse, Jason and Grant try communicating with an entity that may have caused a blocking of light, asking it to tap on something twice, if it wanted them to leave. Two taps then followed, so Jason and Grant left. Other things happen, like the sound of laughter caught on tape, but these things are the only ones that really got me scared.

2. Ghostly Conversation: Upon seeing this investigation on Ghost Hunters, I have to admit, I could barely sleep that night, and when I did sleep, I kept waking up, due to nightmares. The only thing that I really felt was scary, and what kept me up at night, was what happened in Room 314, at the Mt. Washington Resort. This room was the room that a princess used to always stay in when she came to the hotel in New Hampshire, and she brought her own bed, which still remains in the room. Anyway, the creepy thing that happened was during EVP work. When played back, the tape showed that, I believe, Tango and Steve, were asking if anyone was in the room. A clear, feminine-sounding response came through: "Hello. Is someone there?" and then "Of course I'm here. Where are you?" That really, truly freaked me out.

3. Slater Mill: Slater Mill was bascially a child sweatshop, filled with dangerous machinery, where many diseases were caught, and many accidents happened. The big event that was amusing, but scared me in this investigation, was with Jason and Grant trying to communicate with an entity, with a K2 meter, which lights up when there's a strong electromagnetic field. Basically, Jason and Grant were asking the same questions, in different order, for some time, and the entity was making the K2 meter light up in the same capacity as it had before. It was pretty amazing.

As I said, most of my favorite investigations are from past seasons, but these three investigations really stood out to me, in 2008. If you haven't already done so, checking out Ghost Hunters is a great idea, even if you are a little bit skeptical. I used to not believe in ghosts, but this show made me a believer.
