Coastal Insulation has been in business in Pensacola for well over 20 years. I first became aware of the business and associated with the employees after purchasing my new home. Over an 11 year period, the company has excelled in handling all my needs. Coastal Insulation installs foam, blanket and sheeted fiberglass and BiBBs (blown in blanket system) insulation. They also install garage doors, fireplaces, wire shelving, laminate and perform other related services.
Coastal changed from being a privately owned operation to owned by Masco Industries approximately 11 years ago. Masco is also the owner of such companies as Behr Paints and Delta faucets. Coastal is located at 8006 Pittman Ave , Pensacola, Florida 32534. You can contact them by calling (850) 476-7778. Coastal has recently decreased it's manpower from over 100 to approximately 22 employees. However, even a reduction in employees has not decreased the loyalty and camaraderie shown within the remaining troops.
I recently contacted Coastal regarding a problem with my garage doors. I spoke with John. John is a very interesting individual who has been with Coastal for approximately 11 years. While talking with John, I began to understand why the company has remained such a valuable part of Pensacola and has not fallen victim to the economy. John is, as he states, a part of the sales team, but he performs a variety of duties. He is a part of the Coastal family. He says he works with office staff keeping a low profile but they all work together to get the job done while making sure their customers get what they need. You can't ask for more than that.
The next employee I had an opportunity to speak with was Keith. John mentioned that a technician would call me within one to two days to take care of my faulty garage door. My garage door wanted to go down, but halfway through the process, it seemed to forget what it was doing and decided to go back up. Working with the master unit did not correct the problem. Nor did removing everything from in front of the sensor.
I made the first call to Coastal on 10/17/2011 at approximately 3pm. Keith called my home on 10/18 at 7:13 am. Impressive response time! He was on his way to correct the problem. While speaking with Keith, I asked him a few questions because I recognized the voice from previous visits. I thought perhaps he might be the owner or at least a manager. Imagine my surprise when Keith mentioned he was, "a loyal employee who loved his work."
I have spoken with hundreds of people employed at various companies over the years and asked for their titles or if they were an owner or manager. Generally I get, "I'm just an employee" or "I'm an employee!" It's rare to get the response Keith gave. And he spoke the words with a pride and sincerity that made me know, the statement was sincere.
Keith Ambrose and John are the type employees who make a business, keep a business going strong and strengthen it when the economy is weak.
Coastal is open from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. However, John states that they are there to serve the customers so whenever their in, you can get them and when you need them they are there. I believe it!
