Best Performances at the 2011 Grammy Awards

Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow and some Muppets put on a fun show. Cee Lo Green was dressed in a giant peacock outfit playing the piano surrounded by Muppets. Later in the performance, out comes Gwyneth Paltrow belting out some serious notes. She's not by any means a bad actress, but she is truly more talented as a singer. Gwyneth Paltrow showed she could hold her own in "Duets," but watching her perform on the Grammy Awards showed that she has serious singing talent.

Eminem is EASILY the best rapper out there. He is on Tupac's level. He writes his own music and the lyrics are closely connected with him. You can hear, see and feel his pain during his performance. Eminem gave more than a performance at the Grammy Awards, he gave an experience. This is what music is supposed to be, expression and emotion.

Mick Jagger... MICK FREAKIN JAGGER, the man is 67 years old. How in the world can this man move like that at his age? No really, I want to know. He was bouncing around getting everyone on their feet and he can still sing. At his age, you think he would have offered little more than a novelty act, much like Bob Dylan did much earlier at the Grammy Awards. Mick Jagger's performance was genuine entertainment.

I can't write this in the third person... I just can't. To do so would make me feel like a douche big enough to accommodate Madonna. My articles are a change of pace from what you can expect anywhere else. M...  View profile
