One of the big fashions is having a blue wedding. Many Americans like the color blue and depending on your theme blue is a logical choice. If you are having a beach wedding or a winter wedding different shades of blue go great with the flow of the wedding.
Once you have the colors picked out you then go from there, wedding invitations, decorations, bridesmaids' dresses and ... flowers. Once you have a color you want to find flowers that compliment the decorations, don't clash with your bridesmaid dresses and add an ounce of flair to the décor of the wedding.
Hydrangeas make great floral bouquets and come in several colors. They are also great for decorating table and such at the reception. They are in season from early spring to late autumn.
Veronica, blue streaks are a great flower for summer wedding. They are used more as an accent flower but at a great personality to the bouquets.
Morning Glory is another great flower often used as the main flower in a bouquet. These are very colorful and very full flowers. They are brightly colored and have purple and white accent colors in the flower as well. Lobelia is also another vibrate blue flower used as a main flower in bouquets.
Many brides use dyed roses they can be dyed almost any shade of blue which makes them very easy to work with they also then have the traditional elegance of roses. Lily's are also dyed to color for wedding bouquets too.
Many bouquets will you green, purple and white to compliment the bouquet and make the flowers stand out. When picking colors for the flowers make sure they will not clash or fade in with the bridesmaid dresses. You want the colors to be brighter or paler then the dress.
You can purchase wedding bouquets in a number of places. You can get them separately on eBay. You may also want to try mom and pop places like an amazing site that did my flowers, called Sun Spot Creations based out of Washington but they do ship. I was able to get the flowers I needed for under $100 with her. It all depends on what you are looking for.
Bridal Flowers is another shop to find real and silk flowers for wedding bouquets. Many local flowers shops will make wedding bouquets too it all depends on the flowers and time of year as too how much it will coast. If you get married when everyone else is (spring or summer) then expect to pay a little more. If you get married off season (winter) flowers won't be in such high demand. Don't write off silk flowers right away they are cheaper and sometimes prettier and last for years to come.
