Best Pizza Places in Eastern Connecticut: Grab a Slice or a Whole Pie at These Excellent Locations

Alan Donahue
Eastern Connecticut is full of a wide variety of restaurants and eating locations so it may be hard to find the right place that you want to eat at. If you are in the mood for pizza, then there are several excellent choices, but the list below is the best of the best offered in eastern Connecticut and after eating some of their pizza you will be pleased.

Manny's Pizza- Norwich, Connecticut:
Manny's Pizza has a full menu that may have spending more time choosing than actually eating. Among their pizza choices are delicious specialty pizzas like Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Spaghetti Pizza, and their Potato Pizza. Stick to small pizzas so that you can get more than one kind because they are all so good.

Gus's Pizzarama- Plainfield, Connecticut: This small restaurant in Plainfield, Connecticut, offers big taste in their pizzas. The sauce has a unique and delicious taste to it and with three other pizza restaurants nearby, be sure to skip the others and stop at Gus's.

Papa Gino's- Norwich, Connecticut: Papa Ginos may be a large New England chain of pizza restaurants but you still cannot deny how good it is. Forget the rest of the menu, even the toppings, because the best thing that Papa Gino's has to offer is their large cheese pizza. The slices are big and the crust is some of the best because it rarely left behind after eating there.

New York Pizza- Plainfield, Connecticut: It is not just about the great pizza at New York Pizza, it's their money saving deal offered every Tuesday. The gimmick is called "Beat the Clock" and from 6-8, whatever time you show up is the amount that you pay. So if you show up at 6:13, you are only paying $6.13 for a priceless large cheese pizza.

Olympic Pizza- Norwich, Connecticut: This restaurant has been around Norwich for years and among everything else in their menu is the best White Pizza in eastern Connecticut. It is cooked perfect and tastes perfect as you devour slice after slice. It is hard to order anything else after you have had their white pizza.

Dino's Grill- Canterbury, Connecticut: The owner of Gus's Pizzarama recently bought this establishment and much like Gus', their pizza is delicious, especially their small pizzas. They like to pile on the cheese and when it is cooked just right, you will be asking for more.

Sharkey's Pizza- Baltic, Connecticut: Sharkey's Pizza is unique because they only offer small pizzas, but all of their pizzas are filling and great with one of their specialty grinders. This restaurant is also take-out only, but you will be stopping in numerous times after eating there.
