Davis's Trading Post is a family owned business that started out in 1934. Davis's was originally a pharmacy that was opened, after a fatal fire in 1955 the store was re-opened up across from the old building on Winona Ave in Norwood, Pennsylvania. In the late 1960's the Davis's family reopened the store and names it Davis's trading Post. The name Davis's Trading Post was named after the Winona Indians, who once inhabited the area of Norwood.

The store is no longer a Pharmacy, and is now a convenience store that sells convenience-store items, school supplies, magazines, newspapers, lottery tickets, greeting cards, holiday decorations. The bonus of the store is their outrageous costume boutique. The entire store has costumes hanging throughout it, and has a special section in the back of the store dedicated to all the costumes for different holidays. They sell almost any type of costume you can think of. Anything from Halloween, Christmas, St Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day items. Around the Fourth of July they sell almost every kind of fireworks, and at Easter time they have a big variety of Easter flowers and plants.

Davis' also sells a wide selection of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadelphia Flyer's merchandise. The store sells newspapers from throughout the county, the New York Post, and many others.

The store is run by the David Davis, Davis' brother, sister, and wife, as well as many other employees. Davis' Trading Post is open every day 365 days of the years from 6am to 12am. They are open on any holiday, and open no matter what kind of weather there may be. The store has grown so big through the many years, which they opened up a smaller version of the store on Chester Pike in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. The smaller shop was opened in the 1980's.

Davis's Trading Post also provides a website for those who want to purchase costumes, and are unable to get to the store. On their website they provide a gallery of all the items you are able to purchase through their website, and offer a checkout service. You can check out their website on line here.
