Post a CommentGood article and resources. Thanks Cherie for the important and useful information.
I've wondered about these places. Thanks for doing the research! I'm going to bookmark this article for reference--need to get some new glasses soon.
Got my current glasses from GlassesShop. It works great indeed. :oD
My son and his wife both used EyeBuyDirect, and were more than satisfied. Local opticians do not offer the price or the service. I was told that if your glasses are "ordered" for you locally, the lenses are most likely ground at one of these facilities.
I've used Eye Buy Direct. It was a great experience and the cost was about 20% of the cost locally.
This is good to know..I'm always losing mine.
Great work!
Excellent.... :o)
I will definitely try these sites, I'd love to see how I look in different styles of glasses. The part I hate about getting new frames is you can't see good, so you can't really see how the frames actually look on you. One problem I have with glasses is if I get glasses that come a little too close to my eyes, my eyelashes hit the lense. And that's a problem even if you try them on in person, because they don't have lenses in the frames you try.
Interesting concept.
