Most Rochester natives have fond elementary school memories of visiting Kelly's Apple Farm and watching the apple pulp go through the cider presses. Good news! You can still give that experience to your children every Saturday from 9 am-7 pm this fall.
It's a "well-known secret" that Kelly's has the absolute best pie crust in the world, so don't hesitate to bring home a pie or two to have with your cider. And of course, a trip to Kelly's wouldn't be complete without getting a pumpkin! Pick out one from the hundreds they have on display. Parents, don't forget that all those rows and rows of pumpkins make an excellent backdrop for photo ops!
Kelly's Farm Market and Bakery is located at 611 Old Wilder Road, Hilton, NY 14468. Phone: 585.392.8102. Kelly's Farm Market and Bakery is open September 3-December 24 from 9am-8pm Monday-Friday and 9am-7pm Saturday and Sunday.
Gro-Moore Farms
Gro-Moore Farms is more than just a pumpkin patch, it's an afternoon of family entertainment! For $10 admission, enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon ride, mini golf, a trike track through a hay bale maze, and more! Daily free activities for children 8 and under include a no-left-turns maze, Kid's Haunted House, and a pumpkin slide.
Don't forget to check out the plants, fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, honey, and fudge for sale. And, of course, oodles and oodles of pumpkins!
Gro-Moore Farms is located at 2811 East Henrietta Road, Henrietta, NY 14467. Phone: 585.359.3310. Gro-Moore is open 8am-6:30pm Monday-Friday and 8am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
The Garden Factory
The Garden Factory is 36 acres of plants, trees, and landscape supplies in a not-so-rural setting; so, right there, it's one of my favorite places. It's a good place to go if you don't want to spend a whole day picking out a pumpkin, but you still want to make it special. During October, The Garden Factory offers pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, and sand art for a small fee. As long as you don't get caught up looking at everything else, you can get in and out quickly, not only with a pumpkin, but with a pumpkin that Junior has already decorated! (Without a knife!) Perfect.
The Garden Factory is located at 2126 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Phone: 585.247.6236. The Garden Factory is open 8am-7pm Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm Saturday, and 9am-6pm Sunday.

Great info here!We love pumpkin picking & look forward to it every year ;)
You always make me homesick. I miss the Burreville (spelling?) cider mill. Freshly made apple cider kept cold is soooo different from that stuff in the supermarket!
These sound great!
