Best Places to Camp in Kansas

Spring Lake

Marsha Seiberling
Spring Lake RV Resort is the best camping spot in Kansas.

The RV Resort is located at 1308 South Spring Lake Road, in Halstead, Kansas, just off of highway 50. They offer 180 camp sites, all located around Spring Lake ponds. They are open year round with organized activities from April-October.

I've been so pleased each and every time we have camped at Spring Lake. They offer MANY activites! I enjoy playing bingo on Friday evenings. Friday and Saturday evenings boast ice cream socials. They offer craft classes, game nights, Gospel concerts and so much more. You can swim in their regulation swimming pool, which is right next to the club house. Showers are available by the pool as well. Other activities include mini golf, basketball court, horseshoes, and croquet. Playground equipment also available for the kids. No need for a fishing license to fish in the ponds since it's private property. Laundry facilities are available and the office offers a book exchange, internet access, and video rental. Church services are offered on Sunday mornings as well.

Spring Lake offers both full and partial hook-up sites. They also have pull-thru sites. Storm shelters on site too.

Don't own a camper? No worry, Spring Lake offers camper, cabin and Hobo rentals. Tent camping is also welcome. All visitors are welcome. Memberships are available. For complete pricing information, you may call ( 316 ) 835-3443. You can also visit their website at http://www.springlakervresort.com.

If you are traveling through Kansas or even live here in Kansas, I hope you will cnsider checking out Spring Lake. I highly recommend it. Good people, good fun and peaceful surroundings.

Do they have camping spots for people without RV's at this place in Halstead, KS? Like tent spots? Is that even how you abreviate Kansas?
