Best Places to Eat on International Drive in Orlando

Dana Barnett
When you go to Orlando, Florida, most people immediately think of Disney World or Universal Studios. However, there are many other exciting things to do and places to go during your trip.

Disney World is actually located in Kissimmee, Florida, so after you have finished with that part of your tour, head into the city of Orlando for some fun. International Drive is a street that features hotels, attractions, shopping, and some really great restaurants.

Here is a list of my picks for best restaurants on International Drive:

Bahama Breeze

Bahama Breeze is located at 8849 International Drive. The restaurant is good and it's obvious because there is always a long wait for a table--especially on the weekend. Bahama Breeze serves food with a Carribean flair--the menu features jerk chicken, pasta, and seafoods. My favorite items on the menu are the onion rings. They are perfectly breaded in a coconut batter and come with a delicious dipping sauce. The only problem I have with Bahama Breeze is that there aren't many dishes for vegetarians. Otherwise, it's a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere.

Race Rock

Located at 8986 International Drive, Race Rock is truly unique. The whole family will love the racing memorabilia that is displayed throughout the restaurant and the souvenir merchandise available for sale. The food is also tasty. Race Rock's menu features a wide assortment of appetizers, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. Race Rock is an experience that should not be missed when you're visiting Orlando.

Pizzeria Uno

Pizzeria Uno is located at 8250 International Drive. This restaurant has some of the most scrumptious specialty pizzas that I have ever tasted. The menu features countless varities of Chicago style pizza and flatbread pizza in addition to sandwiches, entrees, pastas, and salads. Pizzeria Uno is a delicious restaurant that you and your family will love!

Kobe

Kobe is a Japanese Steakhouse located at 8350 International Drive. The restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine cooked at a hibachi grill at your table. The food is excellent and the service is great. Your family will love the entertaining hibachi chefs as they prepare your meal in front of you. If you prefer, you can sit at a regular table and have your food prepared in the kitchen. I have experienced both and there was no difference in the taste of the meal. Make sure that you sample the sauces that accompany your meal as they are truly superb.
