Nothing replaces the thrill of pulling a card out of the mailbox. However, today there are a variety of online card sites that allow you to send e-greetings. One of the best features of these sites is that you can often predate when you want the card sent. I enjoy www.123greetings.com. They have an extensive selection of cards for almost any occasion. Another great perk of this site is that it lists every single holiday in a given month. It offers corresponding cards for each holiday.

The downside to this site is that it has a lot of pop-ups and pop-unders. A lot of their advertising slips through popup blockers. Another downside, is that sometimes the card aren't as polished and professional looking as Hallmark or American greetings e- cards. However, the selection of e-cards is worth spending a little time on the site.

Every card at www.123greetings.com is free. You can also modify the background, font color, size, and style of your e-greeting and personalize the message sent with your message. Another perk at www.123greetings.com is that your personalized message is not limited, as it is with some of the other e-card services. You can write as much, or as little as you like. You can also schedule the send date.

E-cards and e-greetings with membership

Americangreetings.com has great cards. American Greetings is one of the longstanding greeting card companies. However, americangreetings.com charges a small fee for membership to access their cards. In my opinion, there are enough free e-cards available that I wouldn't join American Greetings. If, however, you want to take a look at the American Greetings collection, they do offer a trial membership.

If you have the time, there is no time like the present to go ahead and preset some cards for delivery. You may be able to make someone's day just by reminding them that you love them, you are thinking of them, or you remember them during a special holiday.
