Among the twenty best places to live in Hawaii, nine are suburbs of Honolulu on the Island of Oahu, six are western shore communities on the Island of Hawaii (Big Island), four are suburbs of Wailuku on the Island of Maui, and one is a suburb of Kahului on the Island of Maui. I have a cousin living there but I've never been to Hawaii... :o)
I lived in Hawaii for two years, near Hickham AFB up in the moutains surrounded by pineapplie fields. I wanted to stay after my husband got out of the Navy but we couldn't afford it.
I do believe that I could live in anywhere in Hawaii....as long as someone else paid the bills, of course:)
