If you will be attending the University of South Florida, then you are in luck. The Tampa Bay area provides residents and visitors with plenty of choices when it comes to shopping.
University Mall
The University Mall is practically across the street from the school. Located at 2200 East Fowler Avenue, the mall is perfect for college students as many of the 165 stores are not too high end. The mall consists of big name department stores such as Sears, Macy's, and Dillard's, but there are also smaller independently owned stores where you can get trendy clothes at discounted prices. In addition, the mall consists of typical stores that you find at every mall including Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, and Foot Locker. The University Mall also features a food court and a movie theater. The mall is open 10-9 Monday-Saturday and noon-6 on Sundays.
International Plaza
The International Plaza was built in 2001 in the Westshore district of Tampa near the airport. Located at 2223 North Westshore Boulevard, the plaza features over 200 high end stores such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Tiffany & Co. The district of the plaza known as Bay Street is an outdoor area that offers patrons more shops and several restaurants including a Cheesecake Factory. The Blue Martini, a popular night spot, is also situated on Bay Street. Valet parking is available in the Bay Street area of the plaza and the indoor area of the mall is open from 10-9 Monday-Saturday and noon-6 on Sundays.
Westshore Plaza
The Westshore Plaza is located at 250 Westshore Plaza and consists of 115 stores. Although Westshore Plaza has some high end stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, it is more affordable than the International Plaza. Sears, JCPenney's, and Macy's make their home at the Westshore Plaza, and so do many other popular stores such as Old Navy, The Limited, and Banana Republic. In addition to the stores, Westshore Plaza also features a movie theater and some really great restaurants. PF Changs's serves delicious Asian cuisine and Maggiano's offers customers authentic Italian food. The Westshore Plaza is open from 10-9 Monday-Saturday and noon-6 on Sundays.
