For food lovers, Paula Deen needs no introduction, however not everyone is familiar with her incredibly successful restaurant The Lady and Sons. For the holidays they have a special buffet, normally priced at 14.99 but will probably be a little more since they will have a larger food selection to accommodate those looking for a more traditional holiday dinner. You also have the option of ordering from the menu, where everything is Paula Deen's own recipe. The Lady and Sons also has banquet and catering options, which is perfect for anyone hosting a large family. This starts at 200 dollars a room, calling in reservations is highly suggested if you will be hosting more than 12.

If the quintessential southern style holiday dinner is what you are after, then the Pirates` House is where you want to go. Their buffet isn't the largest but what it doesn't have in quantity it makes up for in quality. They also cater to groups and have holiday and Sunday specials. Don't let the name fool you, these pirates really do have treasure it is the food! The atmosphere is also something to talk about, they have 15 dining rooms each with its own distinct style. This affords the patrons a bit of privacy, which is always appreciated, but even more so around the holidays. The pricing is on par with The Lady and Sons, at right around 15 dollars a plate.

If you are reading this and thinking "I want something besides turkey and ham, which is why we are dining out this holiday" then Carey Hilliards is the place for you. The seafood, namely the shrimp, at this restaurant is wonderful. It's rated 8.6 out of 10 by the locals, and is very reasonably priced. The helpings are plenty hearty enough to be considered a holiday meal, and you won't even need reservations. You normally get seated quickly and the place is great for kids. So to sum it up, this is perfect for a family wanting a lot of something different on a budget.
